About the Librarian
An about me is probably one of the most difficult creative writing exercises out there, so let's just jump right in. My name is Caitlyn Sandfer, I am a proud Hufflepuff, I live in Newport Beach, CA with my husband and our cat, and I have been an avid reader of Young Adult novels since before I can remember. I won't bore you with a long list of my work history (Disneyland, CAA, Blumhouse Productions, random in-between jobs), but I will tell you that I am in my 2nd year of the MLIS program at SJSU and currently work as an Office Manager at a dance studio.
I came to this program during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, when I knew I needed a change, and much like the YA heroes and heroines I admire so much, decided to make the leap. Above all else, I am passionate about helping others, which is an aspect of future library work that I am looking forward to greatly. Oh, and books, of course.
I always look forward to talking about your favorite book, anytime, anywhere.

Amy Pond
(named for the Dr. Who character)
Amy is a 10-year-old calico who loves working at the TBR blog. When she isn't napping in the sun, watching birds, or sitting on computers, she can be found cuddling in blankets and being an incredible Kindle stand.
